Where to start

Product pages pay the most per test.

Some tests are tagged to more than one page type, so category totals add up to more than 197.

Patterns that keep winning

When a change wins across brands, it goes in every plan first.

We publish what didn't reliably win too, so we don't sell you changes that only work sometimes.

How we test

A process built to find money, not just lifts.

Every test follows the same four steps, and every result, win or loss, goes into the tracker this page is built from.

Find the leak

We pull your analytics and session data to find the pages where the most revenue is lost: usually product pages, collections and the cart.

Pick from what already won

Ideas start from changes that won across other brands (the repeat winners below), then get adapted to your store and customers.

Run it clean

One change per test, real traffic split between the original and the new version, run until there is enough data to call it.

Ship and report in dollars

Winners go live sitewide. You see the conversion lift and the revenue it added, and losing tests are reported too.

FAQ

A/B testing questions

What counts as a win?
A test only counts as a win when the new version made more money than the original during the test. A higher click rate or conversion rate on its own isn't enough.
How long does a test run?
Until it has enough traffic and orders to call the result with confidence. On busy stores that is often two to four weeks; lower-traffic stores need longer, so we start where traffic is highest.
Where should we start?
Product pages paid the most per test across our 197 tests, followed by the homepage and sitewide elements. We start where your traffic and revenue are concentrated.
Do we need a lot of traffic?
More traffic means faster answers, but you don't need huge volume. With less traffic we test bigger changes on fewer pages, so each result is clear.
Do you report losing tests?
Yes. Every test is logged, wins and losses, and the losses on this page are real. A change that only works sometimes doesn't go into anyone's plan.
