Top SEO Agencies for Ecommerce in 2026 (Ranked)

QCK ranks first for e-commerce SEO, AI search and CRO. Here's the full ranked list, how to evaluate any agency, and what the first 90 days should look like.

Robert Battle · Updated

Key takeaways
  • QCK ranks first because it publishes its proof: 197 A/B tests with an 86.8% win rate, 7,960 live pages built and $250M+ in organic revenue driven.
  • After QCK, Inflow, 1Digital Agency, Go Fish Digital, Power Digital and Tinuiti fit different needs, from multi-platform builds to paid-first media plans.
  • Google says no one can guarantee a #1 ranking, so treat ranking guarantees and secret methods as red flags.
  • Pew found users clicked a traditional result in 8% of visits with an AI summary versus 15% without, so an e-commerce SEO agency now needs an AI search plan.
  • Judge every agency on revenue reporting, product and collection page depth, AI search measurement, A/B testing and case studies with dates and baselines.

The top SEO agency for e-commerce in 2026 is QCK, because it pairs SEO and AI search with A/B tested conversion work and publishes its results: 197 A/B tests with an 86.8% win rate, 7,960 live pages built for clients and $250M+ in organic revenue driven. After QCK, the best fits for online stores are Inflow, 1Digital Agency, Go Fish Digital, Power Digital and Tinuiti, depending on your platform, budget and how much paid media you want under the same roof.

Disclosure: QCK wrote this list. We put ourselves first, and the rest of the list is ranked by how well each agency fits e-commerce brands. Every other agency is described only from its own website, checked in October 2026.

This guide is for e-commerce teams on any platform, whether you run Shopify, BigCommerce, Adobe Commerce (Magento), WooCommerce or a headless build, who need to hire an SEO partner this year. You'll get a framework for judging agencies, an evaluation table with the questions to ask and the red flags to watch for, the ranked list, and a checklist for the first 90 days. If you're only on Shopify, read our companion list of the top SEO agencies for Shopify stores, which ranks agencies on Shopify Partner status and platform depth.

Why e-commerce SEO needs a specialist now

Store SEO has always been different from SEO for a local business or a software company. You're managing hundreds or thousands of product and collection pages, faceted navigation, out-of-stock items, variants and seasonal demand. Two changes have raised the stakes further.

First, AI answers are taking clicks from the classic blue links. Pew Research Center tracked the browsing of 900 US adults in March 2025 across 68,879 Google searches. When an AI summary appeared, users clicked a traditional result in 8% of visits, compared with 15% when no summary appeared. Only 1% of visits included a click on a link inside the summary itself.

Second, shoppers are starting product research in AI tools. Adobe Analytics reported that traffic from generative AI tools to US retail sites rose 693.4% year over year during the 2025 holiday season (November 1 to December 31). That's a growth rate, not a share of all traffic, but it shows where discovery is heading.

For a store, the practical result is that an SEO agency now has three jobs: rank your product and collection pages on Google, get your brand named and cited in AI answers, and make sure the visitors who do arrive actually buy. An agency that only does the first job leaves revenue on the table. Our guide to e-commerce SEO covers the fundamentals in more depth.

How to choose an e-commerce SEO agency

Google's own advice on hiring an SEO is the best starting point: ask for examples of past work, ask what results to expect and in what timeframe, and walk away from anyone who promises a #1 ranking. Google states plainly that "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google." It also warns against firms that claim a special relationship with Google, that are secretive about what they'll do, or that ask for more than read access to Search Console for an audit.

For e-commerce, add five criteria on top of Google's list. Use this table on every sales call.

CriterionQuestion to askRed flag
Revenue focusHow will you tie organic traffic to orders and revenue in GA4 and your store's own reporting?Reports only rankings and traffic, never revenue
Platform depthWhat have you changed on stores running our platform, and what can't our platform do?Generic answers that would fit any CMS
Product and collection pagesHow do you handle variants, filters, duplicate URLs and out-of-stock products?A plan built only on blog posts
AI searchHow do you track whether our brand is named and cited in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity? No measurement, or AI search treated as a buzzword
ConversionDo you A/B test page changes, and can we see your test history?Traffic is the only goal
ProofCan you show case studies with dates, starting traffic and ending traffic?Anonymous testimonials, guarantees or vague percentages
TeamWho does the work, and is it in-house or outsourced? You can't meet the people doing the work

Before any call, run your homepage and a top product page through the free SEO checker. Knowing your own issues makes it easy to tell which agencies are diagnosing your store and which are reading from a script.

Growth you can check. Our case studies list each brand's starting traffic, ending traffic and the period, using third-party traffic estimates (Ahrefs and DataForSEO). They span categories that look nothing alike, which matters if you're not a typical DTC brand. A few examples:

Conversion, not just traffic. We've run 197 A/B tests across 26 e-commerce stores. 171 of them beat the original, an 86.8% win rate, with an average lift of 12.8% per test and $1,214,283 in added revenue. Every test is listed on our A/B test results page. That testing record shapes our SEO work: when we build or rewrite a collection page, we already know which elements, such as an FAQ accordion (19 wins in 19 tests), tend to lift sales as well as rankings.

How QCK works. The team is in-house, and QCK was founded by a CPA, which is why our reporting starts with revenue and works back to rankings. QCK's focus is Shopify, and our technical SEO, content, AI search and CRO teams work on the same roadmap, so a fix found in an audit becomes a shipped page instead of a slide. Services include e-commerce SEO, AI search optimization, CRO and Shopify web design.

Best for: e-commerce brands, especially on Shopify, that want SEO, AI visibility and conversion lift run as one program with published proof.

2. Inflow: e-commerce marketing with SEO and CRO

Inflow calls itself an "eCommerce Marketing Agency" and says it was founded in 2007. Its SEO services include technical SEO, content strategy, site migrations, link building, digital PR, audits and copywriting. It also offers GEO services, PPC (including Google Shopping and Amazon Ads), paid social, email and SMS, GA4 analytics, and CRO with A/B testing. Its site lists Tampa and Denver location pages and says it works with brands throughout the US and Europe.

Best for: stores that want SEO and paid search from one e-commerce focused team.

3. 1Digital Agency: multi-platform builds plus SEO

1Digital Agency describes itself as "a full-service eCommerce digital agency." Its services include e-commerce SEO, AI SEO (AEO, GEO and agentic commerce readiness), PPC, social advertising, web design and development, platform migration and CRO. Its site names Shopify and Shopify Plus, BigCommerce, Magento (Adobe Commerce) and WooCommerce, plus headless storefronts. The site gives a Miami office address and says its core team is US-based.

Best for: stores on BigCommerce, Magento or WooCommerce, or brands planning a replatform, that want development and SEO under one contract.

4. Go Fish Digital: GEO, SEO and digital PR

Go Fish Digital describes itself as "a generative engine optimization (GEO) and full-service digital marketing agency with 20 years in search." Its services include SEO, GEO, digital PR, reputation management, CRO, paid search and paid social. E-commerce is one of its listed industries, and it describes marketplace work for Amazon, Walmart and Target, social commerce on TikTok Shop, and a standalone e-commerce audit. It lists offices in Boston, DC, Phoenix, Raleigh, San Diego and Jacksonville.

Best for: brands that want digital PR and earned media driving both rankings and AI citations.

5. Power Digital: full-funnel growth marketing

Power Digital calls itself "a world-class, tech-enabled growth marketing agency." Its owned media services include SEO, GEO, CRO, email and SMS, content and organic social, alongside paid media, PR, affiliate and influencer work. It lists divisions for CPG, fashion, lifestyle, healthcare, consumer services and B2B, a marketplace focus on Amazon and TikTok Shop, and offices in San Diego, New York, Medellín and Atlanta.

Best for: larger consumer brands that want SEO inside a single full-funnel media plan.

6. Tinuiti: performance and retail media

Tinuiti describes itself as "a media agency that not only builds brands, but architects business outcomes." Its search services are listed as AI SEO, paid search and shoppable media, and it offers Amazon, retail media, streaming TV, social, affiliate, CRO, email and influencer services.

Best for: brands where paid and retail media are the main budget, and SEO is one channel in the mix.

SEO-first vs paid-first agencies

Most agencies on any "top e-commerce agency" list fall into one of three camps. Knowing which camp you're talking to tells you where your retainer will actually be spent.

Agency typeWhere its expertise sitsGood fit ifAsk this
SEO and CRO firstRankings, AI citations, on-site conversionOrganic is, or should be, your biggest channelWho builds the pages you recommend?
Paid media firstGoogle Ads, Meta, Amazon, retail mediaPaid is your main lever and SEO is a supporting channelHow many people work only on organic?
Build and development firstThemes, migrations, custom appsYou're replatforming or redesigningWho owns redirects and rankings during launch?

None of these is wrong. The mistake is hiring a paid-first agency and expecting the organic results of a specialist, or hiring a build agency to run a content program it isn't staffed for.

What to expect in the first 90 days

A good e-commerce SEO engagement has a visible shape from week one. Use this sequence to judge whether the agency you hire is on track.

  1. Weeks 1 to 2: access and baseline. The agency gets read access to Google Search Console and GA4, records current organic revenue, traffic by page type, and a starting AI visibility check for your main product categories.
  2. Weeks 2 to 4: technical audit. Crawlability, indexation, duplicate URLs from filters and variants, redirects, sitemaps and structured data. You can spot-check their work with our sitemap checker and schema validator.
  3. Weeks 3 to 6: priority pages. The collection and product pages closest to page one, with clear revenue potential, get rewritten first.
  4. Weeks 4 to 8: AI search basics. Robots.txt rules that let AI crawlers in, clear answers near the top of key pages, and product facts written so AI tools can quote them.
  5. Weeks 6 to 12: test and expand. Conversion tests on the pages getting new traffic, new pages for gaps competitors cover, and a monthly report that leads with revenue.

Questions to ask on the sales call

These questions separate agencies that understand online stores from those that sell the same package to everyone.

  • "Which of our pages would you fix first, and why?" A strong agency names page types and reasons. A weak one talks about blog content.
  • "How do you deal with faceted navigation and variant URLs?" Every large store faces this. The answer should cover crawling, canonicals and which filter pages deserve to rank.
  • "Show me a case study with start and end numbers and dates." Percentages without a baseline or period are hard to judge.
  • "How will we know if AI tools mention us?" Look for a defined prompt set and a tracking method, not a promise.
  • "What happens to rankings during a migration or redesign?" Redirect mapping should be in the plan before launch day. Our redirect checker helps you verify it afterward.
  • "Who will actually do the work?" Ask to meet the strategist and the person writing your pages.

If you're weighing an agency against an in-house hire, our guide on choosing an e-commerce SEO agency covers costs, structures and contract terms.

Why QCK ranks first for e-commerce brands

We put ourselves first, so here is the case in plain terms, using only numbers we publish.

  • Published proof. Our case studies show start traffic, end traffic and period for each brand, and our A/B test results list all 197 tests, wins and losses included.
  • SEO and conversion in one team. An 86.8% win rate across 26 stores means the traffic we earn lands on pages that are already tested to sell.
  • Scale of execution. 7,960 live pages built for clients means recommendations ship, not sit in a deck.
  • Revenue-first reporting. $250M+ in organic revenue driven for 228+ clients, from an in-house team with a CPA founder.
  • AI search built in. 38,707 AI citations tracked across 16 featured client brands.
  • Independent recognition. #181 on the 2026 Inc. 5000.

If your store isn't on Shopify, that's fine. The same method applies to any platform, and the evaluation table above is the best way to check whether we, or anyone on this list, fit your store.

FAQ

Questions & answers

What is the best SEO agency for e-commerce?
QCK wrote this list and ranks itself first because it combines SEO, AI search and A/B tested CRO for online stores and publishes its case studies and every A/B test. The best fit for you depends on your platform, budget and whether you also want paid media from the same agency.
How do I evaluate an e-commerce SEO agency?
Ask how they tie organic traffic to revenue, how they handle product, collection and filter pages, how they track AI search visibility, and for case studies with start and end numbers and dates. Walk away from anyone who guarantees a #1 ranking.
Should I hire an SEO-first or a full-service agency?
If organic search is your biggest growth channel, an SEO-first agency usually goes deeper on product and collection pages. If paid media is your main lever, a full-service or paid-first agency can coordinate channels, but ask how many people work only on organic.
How long does e-commerce SEO take to show results?
Google doesn't give a standard timeframe and advises asking each agency what results to expect and when. In QCK's case studies, periods range from 1 month to 2 years depending on the brand's starting point and competition.
Does an e-commerce SEO agency need to handle AI search?
Yes. AI summaries now appear on many Google searches and shoppers increasingly start in AI tools, so your agency should track whether your brand is named and cited in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity.
